Donald Munro Plant Training is a family business, and has been in business for over twenty years, working in the construction industry, from haulage to hiring out and operating our own plant for construction contracts, we have been carrying out construction health and safety training, plant training and plant assessments for the last 10 years.

Our training centre is based in Ardgay Sutherland, 45 minutes drive North of Inverness, we have carried out training and assessments, in Inverness, Nairn, Elgin, Forres, Ross Shire, Sutherland, Highlands, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Skye, Orkney, the North and Western Isles and all of the North of Scotland.

We are an approved (CPCS) Construction Plant Competence Scheme Tester Centre, and approved City& Guild/ CAA. Construction Awards Alliance centre carrying out NVQs in construction.

We are also an approved (NPORS) National Plant Operations Registration Scheme Training Provider delivering training and testing and certification for plant operators on your site or ours, which can work in conjunction with the Construction Awards Alliance NVQ to meet industry requirements.

We have our own extensive training ground and carry out plant training, on 180 Excavators, 360 Excavators, Forward Tipping Dumpers, Dump Trucks, Telescopic Handler, Mobile Elevated Working Platforms etc, with a fully equipped classroom for all theory work.

We carry out In House training and assessments for clients that do not require any of the above, which is carried out to the same high standards, by qualified Instructors/Assessors.

All our Trainers, Testers, Assessors and Internal verifiers are fully qualified and have ongoing training to meet the industry standards.

From the 1st August 2008 the delivery of most CPCS Assessments are required to be carried out at an approved tester centre.

Our aim is to work with our clients, to meet their requirements, with as little disruption in the workplace as possible.

We try to keep our rates competitive, and can also arrange inexpensive Dinner Bed and Breakfast packages for candidates who require training and have to travel a distance.
